At the DNC, we heard Kamala Harris accept the Democratic Nomination, and cheered as she shared a vision for America's future full of opportunity, joy, and inclusion. 

We also heard from a pantheon of powerful speakers like Tim Walz, Barack Obama, and Pete Buttigieg about the stakes of this election. Michelle Obama gave us all an assignment: Do Something. And here at SDNYC, we understand the assignment.

Calling all LGBTQ+ New Yorkers and allies! Join us in launching the Out for Harris New York coalition to get out the vote to elect Kamala Harris for President this Thursday, Sept 5th from 7pm-8pm ET.

This kickoff will feature notable speakers and community leaders ready to mobilize the LGBTQ+ community to take action.

Join Out for Harris NY every Thursday and Saturday to make calls for Democrats up and down the ballot from home!

Once you RSVP, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link to join the session. Don't worry if you've never done this before; we'll provide a full training for anyone who needs it.

Starting the week after Labor Day, SDNYC will partner with other NYC political clubs through the Vote Blue 2024 coalition to send buses to Pennsylvania and swing districts. Sign up to volunteer with SDNYC and we'll share dates soon!

We are thrilled to be joined by LGBTQ+ organizers, policy experts, and champions including Congressional Candidate Mondaire Jones, Andrew Rannells, Jelani Alladin, Jackie Cox, Marti Cummings, and more! Harris and Walz are champions for equality. Harris fought for LGBTQ+ rights as Attorney General, Senator, and Vice President, and Walz's advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community stretches back to his time as teacher, where he was the faculty advisor for his school's first Gay-Straight Alliance. We know that they will always stand up for the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring everyone has equal rights and opportunities. Now it's our turn to stand up for them and get to work electing Kamala Harris President of the United States and Tim Walz Vice-Preisdent.

The Stonewall Democrats of NYC is proud to endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States, and committed to working to elect her this November.

Vice President Kamala Harris has been a leader in fighting for LGBTQ rights throughout her career. From standing up for the right of same sex couples to marry as California’s Attorney General to her key role in many of the the Biden-Harris Administration’s landmark achievements protecting trans rights and advancing LGBTQ equality, Kamala Harris has been a powerful and effective leader on LGBTQ rights.
